Unilever sets aside Rs 80 m for Y2KThe Unilever group has set aside Rs 80 million only to address Y2K-related problems. The company is also setting up a Web site to disseminate information regarding Y2K and developments in the field to create more awarness, an area Indians still woefully lack in, according to the David Buckle, Hindustan Lever finance director. Buckle said major efforts were required to broaden the Y2K effort by the chambers of commerce as also a national focus.
Still, he said, 37 per cent of those surveyed had already experienced Y2K-related computer problems. -Compiled from the Indian media |
