Easy win for England

England comfortably beat Nepal by eight wickets in the Under-19 World Cup at the M.A. Aziz Stadium in Chittagong on Sunday.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, a battling 82 from Sarad Vesawakar helped Nepal post a competitive 191 for 8 in 50 overs.

All six England bowlers picked wickets, with Samit Patel (1/15 from 10 overs) being the most economical.

In reply, England lost captain Alastair Cook with the score on 13, but lost only one more wicket thereafter as Ravinder Bopara (59), Steven Davies (78 not out) and Patel (35 not out) all contributed to a comfortable victory.

Davies was named Man of the Match by ICC Match Referee Roshan Mahanama.

Nepal Under-19: 191 for 8 in 50 overs (S Vesawkar 82, M Katuwal 30*, A Harrison 2-31, L Plunkett 2-42).

England Under-19: 192 for 2 in 43 overs (S Davies 78*, R Bopara 59, S Patel 35*)
