Indian skipper Sourav Ganguly [Images] on Wednesday said he was yet to take a final decision on making an appeal to the International Cricket Council against the six-match ODI ban slapped on him for the team's slow over rate in the fourth one day match against Pakistan in Ahmedabad.

"Let's see. I have just come back. First I have to speak to Mr Jagmohan Dalmiya. Then I will decide," Ganguly told reporters at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International airport in Kolkata.

Ganguly, who flew in here after being replaced by Rahul Dravid [Images] as the captain for the remaining two matches in the series, said he was yet to speak to any BCCI official on the issue.

BCCI President Ranbir Singh Mahendra has indicated that an appeal might be filed after the receipt of an official communication from the ICC [Images].

"There is a provision for appeal and we should definitely make use of it," Mahendra had said.

Ganguly was banned after India was found guilty of slow over-rate for the second successive match thus prompting the Match Referee Chris Broad to book him for level-3 breach of the ICC Code of Conduct.

As per the provisions of the clause, the penalty could be a ban between two to four Test matches and four to eight one-dayers.

Ganguly had been penalised 70 per cent of his match fee for committing the same offence in the previous one-day match against Pakistan at Jamshedpur.
