Pakistan captain Inzamam-ul Haq won the toss and elected to bat against Board President's XI in the three-day tour opening match at the HPCA Stadium in Dharamshala [Images] on Thursday.
Play was stopped in the three-day tour match due to rains.
Taufeeq Umar [Images] was batting on four while Salman Butt [Images] was on one when rains intervened with just 2.4 overs being bowled after Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul Haq had won the toss and elected to bat.
Earlier, the start of the match, scheduled for 0930 IST, was delayed by 50 minutes due to bad light and a heavy cloud cover made things appear bleak.
But despite the poor weather, people turned out in large numbers to witness the match. There was huge support for the Pakistanis with a straight driven four by Umar receiving thunderous applause from the crowd.
