Harbhajan has now taken 31 wickets at this ground -- most by any bowler. He was earlier at level with Bishan Singh Bedi [Images] with 29 wickets.
The total of 393 was Pakistan's highest at this ground obliterating the 316 they made in 1998-99.
Tendulkar became the seventh Indian batsman (on eighth occasion) to score fifty (or more runs) in each innings of a Test against Pakistan. Sunil Gavaskar [Images] has done so twice.
It was the eighth occasion when Tendulkar made fifty plus scores in each innings of a Test. The break-up: thrice v Australia (116 & 52 at Melbourne in 1999-00; 76 & 65 at Mumbai Wankhede in 2000-01; 241* & 60* at Sydney in 2003-04), twice v England [Images] (68 & 119* at Manchester in 1990; 177 & 74 at Nottingham in 1996) and once each v West Indies [Images] (179 & 54 at Nagpur in 1994-95), v Sri Lanka [Images] (53 & 124* at Colombo SSC in 1998-99) and now v Pakistan.
Tendulkar is now one short of equalling Sunil Gavaskar's Indian record of most occasions of fifty plus scores in both innings of a Test (later Dravid also emulated Tendulkar with eighth such instance of his Test career). The Test record is on the name of Australia's Allan Border [Images] with 13 such instances.
It was second time that Tendulkar made identical score in both innings of a Test. The only other occasion was against Australia at Kolkata in 2000-01- Tendulkar made 10 in both innings in that Test.
Tendulkar's 52 is now the highest individual score made by an Indian batsman in an innings. The previous highest such score was 47 by Virender Sehwag [Images] versus Australia at Adelaide in 2003-04. Incidentally the highest identical individual score made in both innings of a Test is 105 by Sri Lanka's Duleep Mendis (versus India at Chennai in 1982-83).
Dravid has now aggregated 704 runs (at an average of 64.00) at this ground. Only Mohammad Azharuddin (860 runs) and VVS Laxman (762 runs) have aggregated more runs than Dravid at Eden Gardens.
