Former Union finance minister and Congress-backed candidate in Sivaganga P Chidambaram has movable and immovable assets worth Rs 17.85crore.

His affidavit, filed in Sivaganga, reveals that he has no outstanding arrears towards any loan or towards property tax as on April 19.

He has Rs 10.10lakh cash on hand and his wife Nalini Chidambaram Rs 50,000. The joint family had Rs 15,000. Chidambaram and his family members own immovable properties in Athur village, Hebale, Hysodhalur, Chengalpattu, Karaikudi and Chennai in Tamil Nadu.
