Forex reserves slip to $81.9 billion

India's foreign exchange reserves declined by $215 million at $81.905 billion during the week ended June 27, 2003.
The foreign currency assets also fell by $215 million at $78.231 billion during the period under review, according to Reserve Bank of India's weekly statistical supplement in Mumbai on Saturday.
The gold and special drawing rights remained unchanged at $3.673 billion and $1 million, respectively.
The loans and advances to central government increased by
Rs 1,608 crore (Rs 16.08 billion) at Rs 8,145 crore (Rs 81.45 billion), while that to states grew by Rs 637 crore (Rs 6.37 billion) at Rs 2,851 crore (Rs 28.51 billion), the apex bank added.
