Trading strategy for June 10
June 09, 2003 19:45 IST
The market is in a solid bull run and the daily gains seem to be a natural consequence. Banks were mixed, capital goods roared ahead, consumer durables gained ground, pharma moved up even further while it was FMCG (led by Hindustan Lever) which basked in the limelight.
Volume retreated a bit more (read as turnover) while the undertone was firm.
Sensex -- Last Close: 3337.31 | Support: 3320, 3210 | Resistance: 3400, 3467
Trading Range -- The Sensex opened at 3304.65, moved up to an intra-day high of 3351.36, declined to an intra-day low of 3295.14 and closed at 3337.31.
Review/Outlook -- The uptrend in Sensex continues while it has moved from strength to strength. The northward move is still intact while an intra-day upside cannot be ruled out barring some resistance from the 3350 level.
ABB -- Last Close: 356.60 | Support: 350, 330 | Resistance: 362, 380
Trading Range -- The scrip opened at 380.00, moved up to an intra-day high of 380.00, declined to an intra-day low of 347.25 and closed at 356.60.
Review/Outlook -- The scrip has reflected strength by posting a 12 month high and with the oscillators looking strong, a further upside seems possible.
Glaxo Smith Consumer -- Last Close: 255.40 | Support: 250, 232 | Resistance: 260, 275
Trading Range -- The scrip opened at 251.00, moved up to an intra-day high of 256.75, declined to an intra-day low of 251.00 and closed at 255.40.
Review/Outlook -- The scrip has sustained its upward breakout from a consolidation phase and with the oscillators signalling a buy, a further upside cannot be ruled out.
Rolta -- Last Close: 68.85 | Support: 64, 56 | Resistance: 70, 77
Trading Range -- The scrip opened at 067.70, moved up to an intra-day high of 070.70, declined to an intra-day low of 066.00 and closed at 068.85.
Review/Outlook -- The scrip has entered a short term uptrend after taking support on the 10 day average and with the oscillators looking positive, further appreciation seems to be on the cards.
TV 18 -- Last Close: 93.30 | Support: 88, 79 | Resistance: 113, 129
Trading Range -- The scrip opened at 085.90, moved up to an intra-day high of 094.50, declined to an intra-day low of 085.25 and closed at 093.30.
