Tata Tele announces new STD tariffs

Tata Teleservices on Thursday announced STD tariffs for its landline phones, as well as for limited mobile service users where an inter-circle call rate from WLL (wireless in local loop) to a fixed line would vary from 80 paise per minute to Rs 4 per minute depending upon the distance slabs.
As per the new rates, a call from WLL to landline phone within a circle (intre-circle) would cost 40 paise per minute (for distance up to 50 kilometres) and Rs 2.40 (for distance over 500 kilometres).
WLL to landline STD tariffs for calls between circles (inter-circle) is pegged at 80 paise per minute (for distance up to 50 kilometres) and Rs 4 (for distance above 500 kilometres).
In case of WLL to WLL STD, for intra circle calls, the rates ranges from 80 paise per minute for call up to 50 kilometres to Rs 2.10 per minute for distance over 500 kilometres.
Similarly inter-circle calls from one WLL to another varies from a low of Rs 1.20 per minute for up to 50 kilometres to Rs 1.90 per minute for over 500 kilometres.
In case of WLL to cellphone outside the circle, the applicable rates would be Rs 1.20 per minute for calls up to 50 kilometres and Rs 1.90 for calls over 500 kilometres.
"All of the company's NLD tariffs are in line with TRAI's guidelines for IUC (inter-connect usage charge) regime," a company statement said adding that all the tariffs have been filed with the regulator by TTSL and are subject to the regulator's approval.
