2 more weekly Lufthansa flights from Bangalore

May 27, 2003 18:01 IST

German carrier Lufthansa would operate two additional flights between Bangalore and Frankfurt in June, as part of the open sky policy announced by the government.

The airline currently offers 23 scheduled weekly flights to Frankfurt from Delhi (7), Mumbai (7), Chennai (6) and Bangalore (3).

The additional two flights, which would operate on Thursdays and Saturdays during the entire month of June, would take the total weekly flights to 25, providing extra capacity to meet the increasing demand during the peak season.

Announcing the additional flights, Lufthansa's general manager (South Asia) said in a release, "We are encouraged by the stable traffic growth between India and Germany, giving us a chance to increase the number of flights connecting South India."
