November 03, 2003 12:29 IST
Close on the heels of the announcement of revised interconnect usage charges by Telecom Regulatory Authority of India, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd said on Monday that it will have a "relook" at all tariff structures, and assured that benefit accruing out of the revised regime would be passed on to its subscribers.
"Trai has reduced the overall access deficit charge, while the interconnect charges are different. We are working out what is required to be done," BSNL chairman and managing director Prithipal Singh told PTI in New Delhi.

Asked if the revised regime would mean reduction of long distance tariffs for BSNL's fixed line customers, Singh said, "It is difficult to say at this moment. One must remember that the ADC amount has been reduced."Singh, however, indicated that the new regime would have "some effect" on the national long distance tariffs.
"If there is any possibility of a benefit, it will be passed on to our subscribers," he added.
Singh declined to divulge specific impact of the regime on BSNL's existing tariffs, saying the corporation was studying the issue.
