Tell us your dreams for India

'Each child must get an education'

I work as an assistant teacher in a school that was established two years after Independence. I am basically from Bihar's Nalanda district and my father is a retired government servant.

As a teacher, I have always wanted that children -- each one of them -- should be enrolled in schools. Our children must have an education, only then can India be on the top of the ladder of developed countries.

I know it is easy to talk about these things, and even I have to do my part. I want to establish myself as a good teacher. In fact, that is my big dream for myself.

The other thing we need to do is to control our population. If I had to point out two of our biggest drawbacks they would be illiteracy and poverty.

As told to Neeraj Ismail
