Plan to protect trains in J&K

A plan has been made to protect from terrorist attacks trains on the Jammu-Pathankot line, an official said on Wednesday.
The plan includes installing floodlights at various places, clearing bushes on both sides of the track, and increasing patrolling, Senior Superintendent of Police, Railways, H L Fothadar, said in Jammu.
There will be six guards every kilometre, observations sheds every two kilometre and barracks every five, he shed.
Nallahs that enter Pakistan via the IB will also be checked, he added.
The decision to devise the plan was taken at a meeting in Jammu, he said.
"We want to ensure that attacks like the one on the Shalimar Express are stopped," the official added.
