She said she would be in a position to comment only after going through the court order.
The apex court has directed the CBI to register an FIR against Mayawati and her then cabinet colleague Nassimuddin Siddiqi for alleged irregularities and malpractices in the construction of the Rs 175 crore Taj heritage corridor in Agra.
The Bharatiya Janata Party, the Samajwadi Party and the Congress welcomed the SC directive.
Congress state unit chief Jagdambika Pal said the court order vindicated the party's stand that files relating to the project were tampered with.
State BJP chief Vinay Katiyar said: "It is now up to central investigating agencies to file an FIR against the guilty and prosecute them."
State SP chief Ram Saran Das said Mayawati had amassed huge wealth during her term as UP chief minister.
