A few years ago, the father of seven children stopped going to sea and his sons took over the family trade.

On January 26, Don Bosco, 33 and Raghu, 28 had gone fishing for the first time since the tsunami tragedy, and Antony anxiously awaited their return. Earlier, his boys would be at sea for a week at a stretch, but Antony never waited for them on the shore as he did now.

The tsunami destroyed his three-room house and washed away his five-year-old grand-daughter.

Of the 70 boats that went fishing every day before the tsunami, a hundred-odd fishermen on 10 boats ventured to test the waters a month later.

People were trying to get back to their routine against the odds and Antony Pichai spent his time watching them get their lives back.
