After the assembly polls in five states, including Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry and Kerala [Images], there will be major changes at the Centre, Janata Party President Dr Subramanian Swamy said on Thursday.

He said people of the country "are fed up with the weak and capitulating" Dr Manmohan Singh [Images] government at the Centre.

"Efforts are already underway for the formation of a nationalist front which is now taking shape. We hope it will happen before the parliamentary session ends," he said.

On the blasts in Varanasi, he alleged that the Centre was partly responsible for terrorism surfacing in the country due to its "soft approach".

He cited the talks the government was having with militants in Kashmir in this regard. He claimed that "the incident should leave no doubt that the Hinduism is under siege. Hinduism is being attacked on the one hand by terrorism and on the other by conversions".

On the election scenario, Swamy said, the BJP national election committee will announce on March 10 the alliances entered into by the party with other parties for the assembly polls in five states, including in Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Swamy said there would be no hitch whatsoever in seat sharing exercise for Tamil Nadu assembly polls because the BJP and his party had a long friendly association.

As far as Tamil Nadu was concerned, the need of the hour was for a Hindu front "because the Dravidian parties have failed and there was corruption and criminalisation", he said.
