A decision to this effect was taken by BJP president Rajnath Singh soon after the Left parties announced their withdrawal of support to the four-year-old government.

The party has also echoed the demands of the its leaders, L K Advani and Jaswant Singh, calling for Dr Singh to seek a vote of confidence in the House as he did not have majority.

The leaders were also of the view that a minority government had no right to execute any 'binding international agreement'.

A session of Parliament has to be called for obtaining its approval first by getting the vote of confidence in the Lok Sabha, they had urged.
