The Nagaland People's Front (NPA) will vote against the Congress-led UPA government at the Centre in the trust vote in Parliament on July 22, Nagaland Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said on Saturday.

Addressing a press conference in Kerala [Images], he said his party had taken a collective decision in this regard.

The Lok Sabha member has been asked to vote against the confidence motion, Rio, who was in Thiruvananthapuram to attend the terrestrial launch of the Nagaland University- IIIT-K (Indian Institute of Information Technology-Kerala) grid link, said.

Referring to the nuclear deal, he said, ''We have not gone through the text and it is not going to be voting against or for the nuclear deal. But as a regional party we have decided to vote against the Central government."

He said the funds provided by the Centre was not sufficient for the development of North East.
