Punjab Police beat Air India

Gagan Ajit Singh scored three minutes before the final whistle as Punjab Police came from behind to register a 3-2 win over Air India in a Super League match of the Nehru hockey tournament in New Delhi on Thursday.
In other matches of the day, Bharat Petroleum beat Tamil Nadu XI 4-2 while Indian Oil overcame Border Security Force 2-1 at the Shivaji Stadium.
After a barren first half, Punjab Police surged ahead in the 38th minute with a Baljit Singh Dhillon goal before Air India struck twice in quick succession.
Gavin Fereira converted a penalty corner in the 52nd min and two minutes later Kishore Kumar added to the tally with a field goal.
Trailing 1-2, the Police team drew parity through Sarabjit Singh's field goal in the 64th minute before Gagan Ajit slammed home the winner three minutes before close.
Len Aiyappa scored a brace in Bharat Petroleum's win over Tamil Nadu XI. Sabu Varkey (18th) and Amar Aiyamma (65th) were the other goal scorers for the winners while Prabhakar (26th) and Gopinath (66th) sounded the board for TN XI.
Indian Oil scored two goals in the last 12 minutes to beat BSF, who were leading 1-0 at the half time through Sushil Kujur's 30th minute goal.
Prabhjot Singh's 65th minute winner came seven minutes after Hamza equalised through a field goal.
