The fair commences with the hoisting of the gigantic orange flag atop the temple. Every evening folk dances are organised. A bewildering variety of Gujarati handicrafts, specially put together by the local tribes for the fair, is hawked to tourists. Cheap trinkets galore are marketed at stalls -- like this one run by a young belle -- for the local populace.
