McLean Park, Napier
Napier was rebuilt in the early 1930s following a massive earthquake that measured 7.8 on the Richter scale. It has a wealth of Art Deco buildings.

One of the oldest grounds in New Zealand, it plays host only to Test matches. The opening first-class match on the ground was in 1873, between Wellington and Auckland, but the first Test match -- against England -- was played 47 years later.

The modern stadium, named after the bank that paid for its construction, is located a kilometre north of the city and boasts excellent transport links. It is used only for one-day internationals.

A seamer's wicket, this ground has not hosted any international matches. With the magnificent backdrop of 'The Remarkables' mountain range towering above it, the Oval certainly makes a spectacular sight.
